All About Mr. Hussaini

Mr. Qurban Ali Hussaini has recently joined ECG as an intern. His responsibilities include finance documentation, filing and translation of documents. He is also a qualified English instructor. He is the founder of International Students STEM Organization (ISSO) and Youth Voice Network, Doha Debates Ambassador and a National Debate Champion. He has had the privilege of speaking at the Global Education Network.

All About Mr. Hassanyar

Mr. Najibullah Hassanyar has experience in accounting, auditing, and administration. Currently, he is working part-time as an Audit Assistant at ECG, where his responsibilities include audit testing and reviewing financial documents. Previously, he worked with various NGOs as well as in the private sector in Afghanistan. He served as a Finance Assistant and Cashier at the Afghan Women Network (AWN), and as a Finance and Admin Officer with private sector companies. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics and has strong skills in accounting and QuickBooks software.

All About Mr. Tahiri

Mr. Qais Tahiri is a finance and audit professional with over a decade of experience in financial management, auditing, and compliance. He supports and advice ECG clients in designing and developing tailored financial management policies and procedures aligned with their organizational goals, industry regulations, and best practices. He serves as a finance officer at ECG. He has also conducted training sessions and workshops for clients’ staff members to enhance their understanding of financial management policies/procedure and systems. He holds a Diploma in Accounting and ACCA certifications. He is fluent in English, Dari and Urdu.

All About Ms. Ahmadi

Ms. Benafsha Ahmadi holds a BBA from the American University of Afghanistan and is in the process of completing her ACCA certification with more than 6 years of experience in the field of audit and finance. She serves as Finance Specialist at Emerging Consulting Group responsible for reviewing and assessing financial reports of IPs. Prior to joining ECG, she worked as Finance and Audit Officer and consultant at DHSA and Advanced Accounting LLC. She has supervised multiple projects effectively providing financial consultancy services and providing reports to donors. In-depth knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel and donor reporting. She has good communications skills in English and fluent in Dari and Pashto.

All About Mr. Movahedi

Mr. Ali Movahedi is an accomplished accounting and auditing professional with extensive experience in financial management, auditing, and bookkeeping. He is currently pursuing his ACCA qualification, having successfully passed 10 out of 13 papers. Currently he is serving as an Auditor at Emerging Consulting Group (ECG). His expertise spans financial reporting, planning, auditing, and the development of finance and HR policies. In addition to his work in the private sector, he has served international and local NGOs. He also has experience with UN Women where he is responsible overseeing the implementing partners’ (IPs) financial reports integrity and accuracy. He is fluent in Dari and proficient in English.

All About Mr. Rahimi

Mr. Mirwais Rahimi is a seasoned professional with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and over 9 years of extensive expertise in auditing, accounting, and financial management. He is currently serving as an auditor at Emerging Consulting Group. He is responsible for conducting financial reviews for UN Women implementing partners. His career includes key roles at Crowe Horwath Afghanistan and RSM Afghanistan Audit Firms, where he progressed from audit junior to senior auditor, and he also served as a finance officer at Kawsar Pipe Manufacturing Company. He has successfully led and participated in numerous high-profile audit assignments across the private sector, NGOs, and the banking sector. He is fluent in English, Dari and Pashto.

All About Ms. Jalaly

Ms. Nazila Jalaly holds a bachelor’s in economics and ACCA part-qualification equipped with strong analytical skills in various sectors of audit and finance. Currently serving as Finance Specialist at ECG conducting financial reviews, audits, financial assessments, capacity assessments and policy making/reviews. Previously employed at Deloitte (Pakistan), a big four audit firm in Audit and Assurance and has served as Finance officer and subsequently as Finance Manager with various local NGOs. She has participated in annual and project audits, including Etisalat Afghanistan, FINCA Microfinance Bank, NGOs such as ASTO, DCA, and National Bank of Pakistan. She has good command of Microsoft Office, SPSS, and QuickBooks. She is fluent in Dari, Pashto and English.

All About Mr. Sharefzai

Mr. Shafiq Sharefzai, an ACCA member with a solid academic background in accountancy, financial management, and managerial accounting, currently serves as an Audit Manager at ECG (Emerging Consulting Group). In this role, he focuses on risk identification, audit testing, and internal control evaluation. His career includes positions as Audit Supervisor at Moore Afghanistan, Audit Senior at PKF Audit Firm, and Finance Officer at IPSO, where he managed audit support, risk management, and tax compliance. He has worked on significant audit projects for organizations like USAID, UN Women, GIZ, and UNDP. Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and QuickBooks and fluent in Dari, Pashto and English.

All About Mr. Amini

Mr. M Sulaiman Amini is an ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountant) member, a UK based accountancy body, with an overall 10 years plus of experience in Finance & Accounting, Private and Government sectors’ Audits, USAID financial and compliance audits, UN agencies such as UN Women, UNICEF, UN HABITAT, UNFPA and others. Besides his practical work experience, he has 5 years of experience as a Lecturer of Finance, Management, and Accounting at the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF) and, the most reputable University in Afghanistan, and Bamal Institute. He is currently serving as a Senior Audit Manager at Emerging Consulting Group (ECG), where he has demonstrated expertise in conducting financial statement audits in accordance with US GAAS and ISAs, as well as evaluating compliance with US GAAP and international regulations, financial revies of the organizations, and risk assessment.

Throughout his career, Sulaiman has held key positions at several prestigious organizations, including Moore and Crowe Horwath, supreme audit office of Afghanistan, where he managed and executed complex audits across various sectors, including banking, telecommunications, non-profit organizations, and government entities. His proficiency in internal control assessments, risk identification, and audit finalization has been instrumental in ensuring compliance and enhancing financial transparency for his clients.

His technical skills are complemented by his proficiency in multiple languages (Dari, Pashto, English, and Urdu) and his ability to thrive in multicultural environments. Sulaiman is committed to delivering high-quality audit and financial advisory services.

All About Mr. Dizzaye

Mr. Hussein Dizzaye is a seasoned HR & Talent Management Expert with over 18 years of experience in strategic HR leadership in the EMEA region. Currently serving as the HR Manager at Genel Energy PLC, Hussein plays a pivotal role in shaping workforce strategies, managing organizational change, and driving performance across international markets. His expertise extends to compensation systems design, employee relations, and navigating complex labor laws in challenging markets.

Hussein works with the Emerging Consulting Group (ECG) on a part-time consultancy basis, offering his expertise in talent management, compensation structures, and workforce planning to a range of global clients. His background includes designing and implementing HR systems that align with business objectives while ensuring compliance with complex regulatory frameworks.

Hussein holds an MSc in International Management from SOAS, University of London, and an Advanced Diploma (Level 7) in Strategic People Management (CIPD). Fluent in English, Arabic, and Kurdish, he is known for his pragmatic and results-oriented approach, helping organizations optimize their human capital.

All About Ms. Francisco

Ms. Maria Assunta Flores Francisco is a Senior Financial Management Expert with prior work experience with a top CPA firm in the Philippines for seven years and with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) for 32 years in several Missions including the Philippines, Cambodia, Afghanistan and Haiti. In recent years, Maria was engaged as a part-time consultant by two US-based consulting firms including ECG. Maria specializes in financial management advisory services and audit services. Her work with USAID initially involved systems analysis, design and development. She later moved into financial management covering project financial analysis and monitoring, accounting and payments, training of finance staff, and audit coordination. She was responsible for educating foreign service national employees and USAID recipients on US Government financial management standards and audit requirements and their applicability to different types of federal awards. Her professional initiatives have resulted in substantial amounts of questioned costs resolved and recovered from USAID recipients and contractors due to her efficient monitoring and diligent follow-up actions. Prior to her current role, she supported USAID recipients ranging from small, local start-up non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to large-scale US-based for-profit contractors and NGOs with global operations. Maria holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration from reputable schools in the Philippines and is a registered CPA in the Philippines.

All About Ms. Escamilla

Ms. Grace Escamilla is a Program/Business Development Manager with over 12 years of experience in international development. She specializes in economic development (including women’s economic development), strategy and design thinking, conflict and security, and gender equality and women’s empowerment and is responsible for designing and implementing multi-million dollar projects across MENA, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Her previous work has included co-authoring a communication strategy for an Afghan government entity, evaluating a $14M job creation project for Mercy Corps financed by the EU, collaborating on and editing a toolkit on Women in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism for UN Women, and conducting original research on refugees presented to a political advisor to President Emmanuel Macron. Prior to her current role, she supported clients including the IFC/World Bank, UN Women, UNDP, and USAID. Grace holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Presbyterian College in the US and a Master’s degree in Conflict, Security and Development from King’s College London in the UK.

All About Mr. Hasanyar

Mr. Naeem Hasanyar is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Virginia, United States. He has over 15 years of experience in accounting, government audits, financial management, U.S. Government grants & contracts compliance review, organizational capacity and risk assessment, USAID pre-award, and post-award assessments. He advises and assists clients with tax compliance, conducts financial audits, establishes financial management systems, develops policies and procedures manuals, assists with USAID financial management, USAID grants, and contracts financial compliance. Mr. Hasanyar’s prior work experiences include Director of Finance at the American University of Afghanistan, a Financial Analyst at USAID/Afghanistan, and a Government Auditor with Davis and Associates CPA, where he conducted numerous audits for SIGAR and USAID’s Office of Inspector General (OIG). He is well versed with U.S. Government regulations such as 2 CFR 200, FAR, OMB Circulars, and USAID’s ADS Series applicable to USG recipients and contractors in non-profits, commercial organizations, local and foreign entities. He is a member of the Virginia Society of CPAs as well as a member of the U.K.-based internationally recognized accounting body, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and is a member of Intuit QuickBooks certified ProAdvisor.

Mr. Suleman Fatimie is a seasoned management consultant with over 20 years of experience in establishing and managing organizations, driving impactful projects and results. He is adept at navigating complex environments and building strong stakeholder relationships. His core expertise includes private sector development, program management, HR solutions and organizational development.

Suleman has served in a number of executive level positions in the public, private, and development sectors in Afghanistan and has undertaken consultancy assignments in the USA, UK, UAE, Pakistan and Turkey including as a private sector specialist/consultant for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the World Bank. Notable positions include CEO of Moore Afghanistan (previously known as Afghanistan Holding Group), CEO of Harakat – Afghanistan Investment Climate Facility, CEO of the Export Promotion Agency of Afghanistan (EPAA), and Vice President at the Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA).

Prior to joining ECG as the Managing Director, Suleman had the helm at the Afghanistan Center for Excellence (ACE) focusing on initiatives aimed at empowering businesses and professionals through cutting-edge training programs and consultancy services.

Suleman holds a master’s degree in business administration from London, UK and is fluent in multiple languages including English, Dari, Pashto and Urdu.
